Crypto from Zero is written for complete beginners like me. I've tried videos on the subject before but, even though they were step by step guides, they were just too hard to understand so I gave up. Because of this book, I see that being able to read at my own pace is a much better way to learn how to do Crypto. I didn't pursue the subject previously too because I didnt see the longevity in crypto necessarily and assumed it must only be for cleverer folks (!) but now I see it to be a good idea to start to understand it in 2026, especially, as the book confirms crypto is becoming mainstream. It is a de-centralised money system (which must be a good thing) and it's not just for financial experts - it seems anyone can even buy a coffee, once they understand the basics, and the book really helps with how to use it in basic terms.
I particularly like the little quizzes included at the end of each section to test the reader's knowledge and the reassurances that all the terminology is not necessary to learn to be able to securely start using crypto. There is excellent guidance in the book. I also really liked the analogies and metaphors to help with understanding the basics.
Although it is a book for beginners, it seems to me thoroughly comprehensive so it's possible to start slow and use the book to take next steps when the reader feels ready. If you've been stuck so far with this subject, I recommend Crypto from Zero as a great place to start your journey.
